I serve as a scout master for BSA, and I never thought it was possible for a man like me to get giddy over a tent until setting this thing up in my living room. This 2015 Salida 2 is so fast and easy to set up and take down. I researched just about every tent out there before buying this one, and I even bought and returned 6 along the way. If it's helpful to know, some of the tents that became scratched off my list were the Kelty Gunnison 2.3, Trail Ridge 3, Marmot Tungston, and Nemo Galaxi. All of those are great tents, but I've come to believe you need to find a tent that is right for you. This Salida 2 is very well made and engineered, and that fact that Kelty made it caused this to be a major selling point for me (I have a Kelty Snowfall that is nearly 20 years old, and it is still an excellent tent today).

I've taken as many pictures as what seemed necessary to give all of you the best idea of what this tent and its features look like (this is one of my good deeds for the day #DoAGoodTurnDaily). I may post some updated pictures later once I take it out and have it completely guyed out. It doesn't come with a gear loft, but the guys from Kelty recommended purchasing a gear attic from Sierra Designs (made by Kelty) as the Kelty gear loft totally clashes with the orange one they advertise and this green on this tent.

One thing I noticed once taking this tent out of its bag is that the rain fly is not that pure white color that you see in the pictures. There's a bit of a greenish tint to it, but I think it looks terrific. The storage bag is also a little different compared to the typical storage sacks out there, but I love how easy it is to remove and return the tent from it.

Hope this is helpful to you all!
